THANK YOU for helping us bring this #hiddenhistory to life!
Chris Riddle (Producer), Ashley Brim (Director/Co-Writer) & Elizabeth A. Lyons (Producer)
Because of you Virginia Christian’s story has been resurrected. We hope that generations of audiences will recognize the need for stories like Virgie’s that bring up the tough discussion of social injustice. Film is the form that can approach these topics with an empathetic approach. An approach we hope can move minds, as much as hearts.
Karen Reynolds (Ida), Ashley Brim (Director) and Alicia Cuthbertson (Charlotte)
Please help spread the word to have Virgie’s story. FACEBOOK, TWITTER, INSTAGRAM…. The more people know, the higher the chances this short will be screened at a film festival near you!
CONGRATS TO ALL OUR CREW & CAST! And special SHOUT OUT to Ashley Brim & Chris Riddle who brought this piece of #hiddenhistory back to life. Thank you for including me in the journey. So proud to have been a part of it.
Also, big shout out to Anya Leta for her HUGE win at the 2013 RIIFF Screenplay Competition! She won 1st place for Best Short Screenplay and is screening during this year’s festival. Click HERE for more info!
This year I have been selected as one of the 10×10 Tisch Alumnae Readings Directors! This SOLD OUT event is to support alumnae writers, actors and directors with the opportunity to have their work read in front of an industry panel.
10×10 is a professional development event, striving to usher Tisch Alumni writers into professional dramatic writing careers. Tisch dramatic writing, directing, and acting alumni join forces to present 10-minute plays in this dynamic showcase, which merges the tenacious tradition of artist-produced staged readings with industry networking opportunities. A live panel of agents, literary managers, and producers will provide brief critiques of each play and select writers for further professional development. Each panelist selects a writer to professionally develop.
This is the second year of the event created and produced Stochastic Artworks with support form the Tisch Office of Career Development and the Tisch East Alumni Council.
Passes, Tickets, Schedule & Program are on the site! Check it out and come to the FREE “Student Showcase” Sunday March 24th @12pm at Maryland Hall Room 205 to see my short “BORIS (aka John Murphy Comes To America!)” screen, along with 14 other fantastic shorts!
